General surgery is our specialty. Our surgery team provides a wide range of services including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, gallbladder, hernias, dialysis access, thyroid, cancers, breast issues, skin lesions, and appendectomies.
Many of these procedures can be performed with laparoscopic technique including nissan fundoplication, colon resection, hernia, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy.
Our office procedures include state-of-the-art breast ultrasound including fine need aspirations and core biopsy, capsule endoscopy, and removal of skin lesions including laser approach.
We have a direct link to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital that provides access to test results and radiology images to better serve you.
Dr. Ruben Boyajian began serving Effingham and the surrounding communities in 1979. Dr. Kevin Malone joined with Dr. Boyajian in 1986, and Dr. James Flaig in 2006.
Procedures are performed at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
